Narayan Memorial Hospital, a new multispecialty hospital in the city of Kolkata comes with the promise of keeping patient's experience at its priority.

REGISTRATION
- Patients need to complete an one time registration when coming for their first consultation that will help them in all subsequent visits.
- Once all the initial patient record is entered correctly, a hospital file will be created and a UHID card (Unique Hospital Identification Card) will be issued.
Important Information While You Are Getting Admitted
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
- Referal of treating physician or consulting doctor is neededfor admission
- All information regarding admission and paper works will be provided by our Admission Executive at the hospital Admission Desk.
- After completion of admission form filling the patient will be guided to the Bed/Room.
- Patients arriving at Emergency will be directly taken to ICU / Ward after assessment while relatives will do the hospital formalities.
- Treatment of the patients is the responsibility of the treating Consultant. He will do the needful.
- Once the admission process is done, patient relatives must submit all the insurance papers to the Admission Desk within 24 hours of admission.
- Please contact our Guest Relation / Floor Executive for any help / query or assistance.
PHOTO IDENTITY PROOF
- Photo Identity Proof is to be submitted at the time of admission (Voter ID/Aadhar Card/ Driving Licence/ PAN card).
- Incase of emergency admission the ID proof has to be submitted within 24 hours.
VISITING HOURS
WARD : Morning: 10.30 AM to 11.30 AM& Evening: 5.00 P.M. to 6.30 P.M.
Two visitors (with visiting cards) are allowed one by one.
Children are allowed only on SUNDAY EVENING.
ICU : One visitor (preferably family member) may be allowed between 4.30 P.M - 6 P.M.
PERMISSION TO STAY IN HOSPITAL
For critical patient, 1 family member may be allowed to stay in the hospital complex over night. A written permission should be obtained before 8.00 P.M. on the day of stay. No patient party will be allowed to stay in the hospital complex after 8.00 P.M. Patient relatives are not allowed to lie down within the hospital complex during the day or night. Hospital is not responsible for safety of luggage and belongings of patient/ patient party.
A stay pass is issued from billing department and is chargeable at the rate of Rs. 50/night. Relatives can avail the lounge with access to drinking water and toilets.
PAYING FOR YOUR TREATMENT
- Depending upon the room requested and the nature of the treatment, an initial deposit may be collected at the time of admission for which a receipt will be issued and this will be adjusted in the final bill.
- Patients, admitted for treatment need to pay an advance of Rs. 40,000/- for ICU, Rs. 20,000/- for Ward Rs. 30,000/- for Isolation Ward.
- Deposits should be made in Cash / Card / NEFT / Demand Draft in favour of Narayan Memorial Hospital.
- The corporate (credit) patient needs to produce an authorization letter at the Admission Room.
- For Insurance case, patient needs to contact with our TPA desk and do the needful.
- Patients failing to produce the credit/authorization letter are requested to pay an initial deposit at the time of admission, which will be refunded on producing the same.
- If it is a planned admission, financial arrangement for the stay in the hospitalization needs to be arranged beforehand.
- Patients needing OT, has to pay the estimated surgical expenditure (Estimates can be collected from the Admission Office) at least a day prior to the day of surgery. Minimum of 80% of the total surgery estimate has to be paid before OT. If any patient party wants to visit their patient before OT then they must collect the OT pass from the Billing Department.
- During the period of hospitalization interim bills are issued on a regular basis to keep the patient party updated onthe bill amount. Subsequent deposits will be intimated from time to time depending on the treatment provided. To avoid any inconveniencethe amount has to be paid within 12 hours.
- Room tariffs are charged on a 24 hour basis (12.00 Noon to next day 12.00 Noon).
- We accept payment in the form of cash / all major credit cards / debit cards / NEFT in favour of M/s Narayan Memorial Hospital, Kolkata. All payments must be made only at the Billing Department.
- In case of any assistance regarding billing, please feel free to contact the Billing Department
- Payment should be made only to Billing Department personnel and not to any other individual.
ESTIMATE
A provisional estimate will be provided from time to time from the Hospital which can be collected from the Admission Office.
BILLING
Provisional bill can be obtained from the Billing Counter. For any query, the Billing Executive may be contacted.
DOCTORS
A resident medical officer is in immediate charge of the patients in the ward. The consultant physician will visit the patient during his regular ward rounds. The resident medical officers are in constant touch with the medical, surgical registrars and the treating consultants regarding the patient’s treatment. Please contact the Floor co-ordinator for arrangements to talk to the treating consultant on a regular basis. In case of any further medical query contact our Medical Superintendent / Director Medical Services.
MEETING WITH CONSULTANT
Please contact the Floor co-ordinator or the Reception Executive for meeting the Consultant. Guest Relation Executive in the OPD for the same may also be contacted, if needed.
MEDICINES AND INVESTIGATION REPORTS
Medical history of any patient is very important for treatment. So you must carry all your previous investigation reports and medical prescriptions, details of regular medicines, if any.
CLOTHING
Clothing for the patients is provided from the Hospital from the Wards.
PHONES
- All single rooms have phone.
- Patients in sharing rooms may ask the Nurse in Charge of the Ward to connect them to outside numbers.
MONEY AND VALUABLES
Please do not bring money or other valuables into the ward with you. Mobile phones are also not allowed with patients in any ward. It is the responsibility of patient relatives not to keep any such articles with the patient. Hospital Authority does not bear any responsibility for loss or damage of the same.
PRIVATE SISTERS
Assistance from private sister if required by patient may be communicated to Nursing Superintendent in the form of a written application. Application may be submitted NS's office. Private Sisters can be availed depending on the availability and will be billed accordingly.
BRINGING FOOD INTO THE HOSPITAL
Hospital policy strongly discourages patients and their relatives from bringing food into the Hospital for consumption on the premises.

- Breakfast : 8.00 AM – 8.30 AM
- Mid Morning Drink : 10.00 AM – 10.30 AM
- Lunch : 12.30 PM – 1.30 PM
- Evening Tea : 3.00 PM – 3.30 PM
- Soup Service : 6.00 PM – 6.30 PM
- Dinner : 7.30 pm – 8.30 PM
NO SMOKING
The Hospital follows a No-smoking policy.
MEDICAL RECORDS
If you wish to obtain a copy of your Medical Records kindly write to the Medical Superintendent / Director Medical Services. We shall be glad to provide the Medical Records documents against a charge within 48hrs.
TIPS
'NO TIPS' should be given to any attendant of the hospital.

DISCHARGE
- Patients are discharged as per the advice of the treating Consultants. They will also advise on the ongoing care.
- The discharge process is initiatedday before of Discharge for all planned cases. For unplanned discharges, the process may take 4 to 5 hours. Patients are generally discharged by 12 noon after which bed charge till next day is applicable.
- Patient relatives are requested to carry all the necessary documents such as advance payment receipts and patient's clothing.
- The final bills should be settled at the Billing Counter on the day of discharge.
- Corporate/TPA patients are discharged after the completion of the necessary formalities as applicable.
- For the patients who are admitted under the coverage of any medical insurance, their relatives are requested to contact the medical insurance department prior to their date of discharge for the necessary discharge formalities.
- Special permission should be acquired from the Consultant in case of discharge on request or against the advice of the treating consultant. Such discharges may take about 4-5 hours for the completion of the necessary formalities.
- During the course of discharge the discharge summary containing the clinical summary of your treatment and the advice on discharge, all the investigation reports (available till then) will be provided.
- For any assistance on Discharge, please contact the Floor Coordinator.
- Patient party need to arrange someone to take the patient back to home. However, In-house ambulance can be arranged if required.
REFUND
All refunds (more than Rs. 500/-) are made through NEFT from Accounts Department on weekdays except holidays.
